In August, the Office of National Drug Control Policy announced new Drug Free Community Funding. The Webster KY-ASAP True Blue DFC was honored to be named as a recipient of funding through September, 2027.
Today, we get to announce the new staff for the continuum. Amy Hill has replaced Carolyn Sholar as the district contact for ASAP and DFC. Amy began her 27 year career in education as a teacher at Webster County High School and has served as the Instructional Coach for the past 6 years. She has two sons who have been extremely involved in the Youth Council and the True Blue Youth Crews. We are blessed to have her expertise and her passion as part of our crew.
Our new DFC Coordinator will be our very own Melea Ramin. Melea has worked diligently as the Coalition chairperson for 5 years and has attended several prevention trainings. She has been dedicated to the health and wellbeing of children and families of Webster County for 20+ years. She is absolutely the best person to move the True Blue movement forward! We look forward to another five years of work with Drug Free Communities.
