October 2018, Webster County combined Red Ribbon, Safe Schools, and Character Counts celebrations into a TRUE COLORS Week focusing each day on a color representing the 6Pillars of Character Counts. The Webster County Youth Council and True Blue Crew kicked the week off with an assembly at each school presenting skits and anti-drug/positive choice speeches. Prior to TRUE COLORS Week, students at the elementary schools were given the task of making Character Counts banners to be displayed in their school. The best school-wide banner and the best class banner were selected with an announcement made during the TRUE COLORS assemblies with Providence Elementary winning the best school banner and Mrs. Jones 6th Grade Class from Sebree winning the best class banner.
